Here’s a brief overview of the top 8 ways to invest your money in 2019:

1. The stock market

You don’t have to invest all of your money into the market right now, but it makes sense to buy in over the year. If this your first time with stocks, read my post on how to become an investor in the Nigerian stock exchange.

2 Real Estate

There are so many ways to invest in the real estate market: we have rental property, repair and resell properties, crowdfunding, advertisement(marketing estates and lands for commission) etc.

3 Peer-to-Peer Lending

This will offer a more consistent return – more like investing in a bond. Private and Public institution do issue bonds and they pay back at a fairly good interest rate.

4. Your Career

This could be getting a certification, a degree, or a business coach. The investment in yourself could get a raise, a promotion, or growth in your business. The bottom line here is that you should never underestimate the power of reading.

5. Your first side hustle

This is the best way to job proof your income. If done correctly you can build a great passive income generating asset. Mind you, having a side hustle doesn’t mean you should take your normal job with levity. Still put in your best.

6. Your health

Are you working out as much as you should? Are you eating healthy? If you’re not, invest in your health.

7. Pay off that debt

This is the greatest guaranteed return you will ever get. Focus on paying off all of those high-interest accounts.

8.  Invest in people

Don’t forget that investing has to do with letting your money work for you. So you don’t necessarily have to create more and more businesses from scratch. Invest in businesses of experts whom you can trust, and watch your money grow for you.
