How to design an ecommerce site or store

An ecommerce store is simply a website or means for selling your products. In case you need to see how this website looks like visit the underlisted ecommerce store:

  1. 9ja-ebooks.com
  2. Jumia.com
  3. Amazon.com
  4. Konga.com

An ecommerce is basically for selling, and since we are in the 21st century (internet/information age), this websites can increase the yield & productivity by 80%, because nearly ¾ of all humans as a phone that is connected to the internet.

In creating an ecommerce site, there are various platforms we can use, but the funniest thing is that nearly all these platforms are easy to use (you just need to re-edit there demo site to suit your own taste). The most common and easiest platforms I know are:

  1. Opencart-
  2. Magento
  3. Abante cart
  4. Presta shop
  5. Shopify

I will really advise you use opencart, because its simple, direct and very easy to use. You just need to install and start editing. This is the platform that I use for building www.9ja-ebooks.com, an ecommerce site for selling eBooks, you can visit opencart website(www.opencart.com) on how to install opencart.

After installing and editing, you need to install a theme, you can search www.google.com for various opencart themes or better still visit www.opencart.com to download free and premium themes.

Since the website is mainly about making money, we won’t go any deeper into the designing.

  1. Hello, Lawal.

I see a great future for this blog! Your theme, the arrangement of items on this blog, and generally everything about this blog is really impressive.

However, I was not impressed to discover that the e-commerce website you built with opencart was still lacking. For instance, it was not properly personalized and/or customized. The textual content was dummy.

I am therefore using this unofficial platform to draw to your notice the urgent need to overhaul that e-commerce website. Doing this will yield greater results for your online business (e-book sales).

You may want me to write a guest post for your blog. I am poised to always help blogs like this grow to their peaks. I am also into web design… See you on higher grounds!
