Cut away the noise and simplify every God damn thing.
Simplify your relationships, exercise, health, business, work, trading, and investing.
Simplifying will most likely add more clarity and focus to your life.
That was exactly why I started 9jaCashFlow.com back in 2016.
Everything available out there about making money online was all theory and noisy.
I had to start breaking things down for my fellow Nigerians and Africans.
And it was working. But the moment I lost focus on our “why” and switched to learning complex stuff that never worked, things stopped working.
And yes, I take the blame. I was misinformed.
I thought every trending thing about finance needed to be studied, used, and shared. I was wrong.
Some things are better ignored.
Some things are noise.
Some things are distractions.
Sometimes what you know is enough. You just need to do it more and get very good at it.

It was a wonderful event.
While I was speaking and showcasing my simple analysis of Bitcoin, one of the speakers (iamcryptowise) asked a very important question:
“What should we do next?”
My response was simple.
I told him we have to wait till the weekend or next week to know what is really happening in the market.
I explained that the major mistake most newbies make in trading is trying to predict the market.
That is where the complexity comes from.
Professionals, on the other hand, do not predict the market.
Instead of predicting, they react to what is happening.
They let the market show itself… then they follow.
Professionals wait as long as possible for the market to show its true direction, and then they take action.
They do not chase.
They do not force.
They do not predict.
This approach is far simpler than predicting.
What I said about trading being more about reacting than predicting shook everyone—including me.
It was a wake-up call for both newbies and experienced traders on the call.
What does this have to do with simplicity?
The moment you understand the market is not something you can control, corner, or predict—you let go.
You detach.
And that makes you a better trader.
In short, having the right expectations helps you simplify your trading—and make more money.
Later in the day, my girlfriend asked me whether she should buy or sell gold.
I asked her 3 things:
What’s the trend?
Is price at a key zone?
Is price rejecting the key zone?
After asking these 3 questions, I ran them through my mental framework and realized something:
I never need to complicate trading again.
I just need to:
Know the overall trend
Wait for a pullback to a major zone (daily or weekly)
Look for rejection at that zone in the direction of the trend
Enter with proper risk management
How much simpler can trading be?
Even though this won’t immediately make you money, I believe it puts you ahead of 80% of newbies learning complex systems on YouTube that are mostly misinformation.
This evening, I also watched an interview between Paul Ofor (sales coach) and Adeshina Assets (investment coach).
Adeshina talked about reading one good book multiple times and actually applying it—instead of trying to show off that you read many books.
He said something powerful:
Don’t prove you’re reading. Become what you’re reading.
Paul Ofor later asked Adeshina what he would do if he was starting from scratch.
His answers:
Learn people skills — how to talk, network, and work with people
Learn sales — sell first, then build (not the other way around)
Content creation — use TikTok, Instagram, YouTube to build in public, grow influence, and close deals
Paul then asked who he would hire first.
Adeshina said:
A finance person.
Someone to manage the books properly.
He explained that many entrepreneurs make money but mismanage it.
They don’t understand profit, revenue, and costs.
He said:
If you’re a sales guy → hire a finance guy
If you’re a product guy → hire a sales/marketing person first
I learned a lot from that conversation.
And to a large extent, I believe these are practical things we can implement.
I connect with Adeshina because he speaks from the angle of someone who started from survival.
